A loft into a tower silo

By Manuel, at 3:26 pm on September 8th, 2009 | No comments

If you play the game of who will succeed to create a loft in the most unlikely place, I think the future owner of this Tower silo has a great chance to be the winner, isn’t it ? Imagine, this old agricultural cooperative with a monumental architecture, developing a floor area of 400 squared meters, converted into a beautiful loft with impressive volume. Before living in such a lovely place, there is a lot of work to do, but loft addicts really enjoy this kind of challenge, no ?

Tower silo

Tower of Terror ? No, only a Tower silo. A totally atypical building to convert into a unique loft.

Breathtaking architecture for this building based on agricultural land of 1240m2 surrounded by a river. Inside, you are astounded while facing these monumental pillars and the stairs that appear to guide you through a maze. Nonnorm. Neither more nor less.

Wooden house Aquarium projects

By Manuel, at 1:56 pm on August 11th, 2009 | 1 comment

This weekend I visited the exhibition of real estate held at Porte de Versailles in Paris. I came across the stand of a Lithuanian company called Aquarium Projects which offers a very interesting concept of wooden loft house. Besides great prices offered by the manufacturer, it is especially the design of their homes that seduced me. In particular, the range in sapphire caught my attention. These are chic and sleek loft-style homes.

Completely full-up, every wooden house has large windows that make the interior very bright. For the exterior, I like the mixture of dark wood and stone siding. The integrated wooden blinds perfectly complement the whole. They structure the space while filtering light and preserving the privacy of the occupants. Frankly, if I build later, this loft-style wooden house will be in pole position on my shortlist.

Lofts and artist workshops close to your home

By Manuel, at 5:09 am on May 25th, 2009 | No comments

Why should we look for a loft at the other side of the world if it may be a pretty good one in the neighbourhood ? Or it’s better I say “Du côté de chez vous” (which means close to your home in French) ? Because this site edited by Leroy Merlin includes a category called Loft / artist workshop that is totally well filled. It offers you to visit former industrial places and workshops of artists virtually. Through various pictures and videos, you can see how those places were converted into modern industrial sites and workshops of artists converted into modern housings.

Warehouse to loft conversion

Small loft under the roof, rehabilitated warehouse, old shop converted into a loft or maybe an old metamorphosed into luxurious and design apartment… If you are big fan of loft apartments, the presented reportages should please you. Incidentally, I also advise you to have a look into other sections of this portal full of loft spirit decorating ideas.
